I just don't know...

Ok, so I just got home from work a little bit ago and I spent about 5 minutes figuring out what to do. I was just at a loss. Why was I so confused you may ask. Well, for the first time in 2 and a half months I am in my house with no baby (I guess really that would be like a year if you count while I was pregnant). Yes, I am without Addison all day at work or the very few times (once or twice, MAYBE) that Jordan and I have gone somewhere and left her with grandparents, but never have I been at home completely by myself (except for Tripp and Macy...they are ALWAYS here). It is strange to not need to expect a baby to cry at any moment or to be holding a baby or changing a diaper or just watching my beautiful girl while she sleeps (and snores). And you may ask how this phenomenon had occurred? Addison is at her Grandee's and Grandpa's house and they are taking her to camp to show her off. I will meet them there later this evening but for now it's just me and the computer. So with this free time I decided to blog. The only problem was what to blog about??

I stopped by Woodforest on the way home form work to see Jordan at his work. Every day the branch employees have a different color, extremely bright shirt they wear as their uniform. Friday's color is red. At least red was the color for all of the employees but Jordan. I walked up to the teller counter and see two bright red shirted employees and one bright yellow clad dark haired guy. Ah, my wonderful husband. He had the day off yesterday and therefore got completely confused on the shirt color schedule and wore Thursday's flamingly bright yellow shirt instead. He stuck out like a sore thumb. no, that is a dumb saying... he stuck out like a... I don't even know what, but it was so funny. I really wish I had had my camera with me to take a picture. haha!!

I came home after leaving the bank and realized just how rednecked up my house looks from the outside at the moment. There is a hot tub sitting in the middle of my yard without the side pieces on it, so all of its plumbing parts on the inside are in full view. There is a go-cart sitting on the other side of the fence from the hot tub. It is equally as horrible looking especially with the weeds growing up under the wheels. And half of my once clean garage has empty boxes that need to be thrown away, a grill, some chairs, and the sides that go on the hot tub all strewn about. My beautiful house just looks so sloppy and redneck. We really need to get on that. I would take a picture to post on here, but it's just too embarrassing and I don't think I could take it.

I don't have much other news to report. Addison's nursery is nearly complete. Yes, I realize that she is nearly three months old and I should have had it done long ago, but I didn't. It's been perfectly usable and pretty but I've been waiting for some finishing touches and they are here!! I am sooo super excited about it and I will have pictures soon to post and show you just how cute and adorable it is!!! (Wow, I just made up hearing baby sounds. I even jerked my head over to look in the pack n play to make sure she was sleeping still and not waking up. She is not even in the house... I totally miss her so much!!)

I am so ready for the fall to come so there are good shows on TV again. There is just nothin gon during in summer. I DVR old Gilmore Girls episodes that come on ABC Family. It's my new TV show rerun obsession. It used to be FRIENDS but after seeing every episode about 2 to 3 times, it just got old. We watch Wipeout, anything on the food network (love Good Eats) or HGTV, LA Ink, 16 and Pregnant, I didn't know I was Pregnant, The Little Couple, 18 Kids and Counting, Jon and Kate, Ace of Cakes, Kendra, the list goes on and on. There are obviously lots of "I have no idea why I watch this show, but I'm completely hooked on it" in the list.

Well, that was about enough randomness I think, so I'm off to eat supper. Now the question is what? I just don't know...

Guess who turned 2 months??

Yesterday Addison turned 2 months old. That means she had her 2 month check up at Dr. Hunsinger's office (which I love!!) Mom brought her over and met me at Advance Pediatrics. We ended up leaving to eat lunch because they were running a bit behind, but we came back and got right in with Dr. Gross. Dr. Gross is hilarous!! She has 5 children and lots of life stories about her experiences with her kids. This might bother me in some situations, but, with her, it just comes naturally and is always funny. But she knows her stuff as well. ANYWAY, Addison is now 11 lbs, 13 oz, meaning that is less than 9 weeks, she has gained FIVE POUNDS!! She is 23.5 inches long and her big head is 15.5 inches. Her weight is in the 75th percentile (Shocker! I really thought it would be around 115th percentile or something), her height is in the 90th percentile (where in the world did she get that from?!?) and her head... I don't know because they didn't tell me.
After all of my questions and the measuring, came the immunizations. Poor little thing had to have three shots in her thighs. I knew that it was not going to be good for me or her, but I had no idea how badly either of us would react. She was already a bit fussy because she was getting hungry. When the sweet nurse (Beth) stuck her, Addison just started a silent scream that lasted for a good minute while her faced turned past blood red into dark burgundy. Then the scream caught up to the face and it was LOUD. I have never heard her sound like that. She wailed and screamed and as soon as the last band aid was put on her leg, I scooped her up into my arms and held her tight and cried right along with her. I looked over at mom and she had tears in her eyes as well. I guess we were all just a bit dramatic, because Addison is just fine, but it was so hard for her to be in pain and know that as her mommy there is nothing you can do about it. Just to show you that she is okay, here's a picture taken a few hours after her shots were given:

See that smiling face. She's just soo adorable!!
I cannot believe that it has already been that long since God brought that baby girl into the world. She is such a joy to us and we are both so incredibly in love with her.
This July evening was such a beautiful day to take pictures, so here a few of the ones I like:

The shadows here belong to Jordan and I. Isn't this a neat picture?Have I mentioned how much I love my new camera?!? :)

Happy Fourth of July!! (Late)

Here are some pictures of Little Miss Addison that were taken tonight when we were all dressed in red, white and blue. Yes, we were pretending for the camera that it was July 4th, since I somehow managed to not take a single picture on the actual Fourth of July. (These were taken with our new camera, Nikon D60, which I am starting a love affair with. Jordan found it online at a really good price, but I didn't even want a new camera... What was I thinking?!? I just feel like a little photographer. This is the most awesome camera ever. And I thought my little Kodak Easy Share was a good camera.) And now for the best part...

Addison Kate's nicknames

Here are a few of my beauitful Addison's nicknames:
1. Chunky Monkey - Because she is a little roley poley. She's a very healthy girl!!
2. Piggy - Because she eats ALL the time and loves it!
3. Squeaky - Because she squeaks (a lot and very loudly) when she eats. It's so cute and she just sounds so content. :)
4. Munchkin - Her Daddy and her Papaw call her this occasionally.
5. Addie Kate - Her Grandpa says Addie Kay-don't know why he doesn't add the "tuh" to the end, but whatever, its cute.
6. Charlie Brown - because her head is so big and round and almost bald, she sometimes looks like Charlie Brown, but in the absolutely cutest way possible!! :)
7. Popeye - because she will sometimes only open one eye and look around, like she's trying to be asleep and awake all at once. It's so funny. She doesn't do it much any more, but when she was really little, she'd do it all the time. So cute.
8. Baby Girl/Sweet Girl - I guess because that's (Baby Girl Cline) what I called her when I was pregnant with her, even though I knew what her name was going to be, I didn't really call her Addison until she was born. Probably because it was supposed to be a secret, but we all know that that didn't turn out too well.
9. Pumpkin - Jordan uses these sometimes. He says the Pumpkin is because she has such a big, round head.
10. I don't have a number 10, but it looked weird that the list only went to number 9...

I love this little girl so much!!
