Addison is 11 months old!

Addison, I can't believe you are now 11 months old! In just one short month, you will be turning one year old! Time really has flown by so quickly!

*At the doctor's office last week you weighed 20 lbs 9 ozs! Such a big girl!

* You have 4 teeth now: 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom! You just look so adorable and like such a big girl!

*You love to pull up and cruise around on all pieces of furniture or the walls or pretty much anything you can hold onto.

* You are quite the spunky girl! You are still very happy, but you also want to do things your way. If we take something away from you or if you just get mad at something (especially when you are tired) you throw a mini-hissy fit. You kick your legs and throw your arms around. You'll hit whatever is in your way and cry out all while your little face turns bright red! I can't imagine how the terrible two's are going to go for us, but you still are such a sweet little girl. It doesn't take much to cheer you up!
* You love to give kisses (When you are in the mood. Sometimes you just shake your head no, no). And by kisses I mean big, slobbery open-mouth kisses, sometimes with your tongue out. It's so cute!*You love to watch other children and interact with them. You are just completely mesmerized with them! You like to try to kiss them and wave at them. Even if it's only a picture of a child! It's so cute!

* You are wearing a size 3 diaper still and are comfortably in a 12-18 month size in clothes.
*You love to talk. I have to take you to the nursery at church most every Sunday, simply because you are too talkative. And when you talk you are loud!! I'm so glad I have to take you out because you're sharing your happy mood with everyone and not because you are mad and screaming! thanks for being such a good little baby!

We love you so much and you bring us so much joy!!

I'm still here!

Wow, I have been so slack about writing any posts lately! I know, it's been a long time (My Grandaddy subtly told my cousin Zach to tell me I hadn't posted anything since March 17th! :) Hint taken, Grandaddy! Love you!) So here goes:

Things have been so hectic! We moved into our new house last week and everything is such a mess! I don't know where anything is and I feel completely and utterly unorganized! We've finally gotten everything moved over to the new house, but mostly it's in bins in the garage. We've also painted the kitchen (light green), Addison's room (formerly the office. There's no closet, so we are looking for a good deal on a white armoire, if you know of any for sale??) (light green a little more yellow than the kitchen, super cute!), the bookshelves in the living room (silvery blue, so much better than that awful orangey red that was there before), and the dinning room is almost finished. It's painted a mid-tone gray/blue color in a very flat finish and we are going to paint 5 inch vertical stripes in high gloss finish in the same color. I can't wait until it's done! We've gotten new rugs for the living rooms and dinning rooms and I love them. So things are coming along, but it's still a huge mess!

I think one of the coolest moments we've had with our new house so far was on Tuesday night. I had taken the day off to work on moving and Mom kept Addison for us. When she dropped her off for us that evening we were ready for supper. It was such a pretty day we decided to put Addison in her stroller and walk to dinner. That's right. We walked to dinner. I have never lived close enough to walk to any restaurant or public establishment of any sort. It's about a half mile from the square in down-town Mocksville. It was so cool to know how close we are to so many different things in town (Not that many things since, come on, it is only Mocksville :) ).

Addison has been such a good little girl throughout the whole moving experience. She is still such a happy baby and is pretty good at keeping herself kind of occupied in her walker. Sweetie sweet girl! She's been kind of sick the past few days, with a runny nose and slight, low-grade fever and one croupy eye. But she is still so sweet! She fell asleep on my chest for both her naps and bedtime yesterday, which she never does. She normally will not be still enough in my arms to settle herself down and go on the sleep no matter how sleepy she is. I ate it up! Loved every second of her sweet little head resting on my shoulder and the sweet smell of her hair and the sounds of her little breathes! I couldn't love her more!

I'll try to post more later! I'm just in a bloggy slump, but I'll try to find time to blog more. We'll see...
