Beach Trip!! (Part 1)

So we took Addison Kate on her second Beach trip. It was nice to go back again after only 3 months. Addison was such a good girl the whole time we were gone. After we left Keli in Dunn, we drove the other leg of our trip to Myrtle Beach. We got there on Sunday afternoon and unloaded, changed clothes and relaxed for a bit then went to Carrabbas to eat! I know some people think it's dumb to go to the beach and not eat at local restaurants, but I love me some Carrabbas and we almost always tend to go while we are at the beach. We did get the crab cakes, so we ate seafood, right... Addison was getting sleepy, but she still did really well. The waitress kept commenting on how wonderful she was being. We tend to get that just about everywhere we go with her. I don't think people believe me I tell them what a great baby she is. Anyway, this is about the beach, not Addison (Yeah, right! Everything is about that girl!! :) and I love it that way!!)
Monday: We hit up the outlet stores (Hello, Coach!!) and went grocery shopping so that we didn't end up eating every meal out. We got stuff for roast beef sandwiches, tomato or cucumber sandwiches, spaghetti, veggie/beef (canned) soup, chicken fingers, all kinds of breakfast goodies and of course, double stuf oreos!! (plus a lot of other snack stuff you don't care about. Not that you have cared about anything else I listed, but oh well!)

Tuesday: I don't really seem to remember what we did on Tuesday. I think we tried to go out on the beach in the morning, but Addison was sleepy and did not want to lay on the towels I brought for her to nap on, so that was short lived. She fell asleep on the way to the room, though.

Here she is napping (well, she was napping until I started taking her pictures and the flash woke her up) in her bathing suit. SO CUTE!! Oh, and word to the wise: even if your baby falls asleep in her little swimmy diaper, DON'T let her take her nap in it. They are misleading in the sense that they are labeled as diapers. They are more like glorified underwear and they leak. A LOT! Right after I took this picture, I picked her up and she had been laying in a huge pee puddle. I should have known better, but I didn't want to wake her up.

After that I got a little rainy, so we went to the other outlet store location and bought an umbrella and really cool swim trunks for Jordan (when they get wet, a flowery design magically shows up. The sales woman in the Tommy store had her little water bottle out to spray the shorts and show us. She was so excited about them. haha!) I think that night we ate at Damon's on the water and then came back to the room and watched Heroes (Season 2, we're catching up.)
Wednesday: My mom and Sister, Kyla, came down around lunch time and we met up with them and drove to Calabash for some good ole Capt Nance's seafood. Ah, so good!! That afternoon Jordan stayed in the room with Addison and they slept while us girls went out on the beach. I ended up sitting with my back to the sun and my whole body in the shadow of my chair. What?!? I got hot and didn't want my white skin to turn blood red. :) Needless to say, I hardly got any sun at all, mostly just on my chest and arms from walking around at the outlets! We ate spaghetti that night and then stayed up late playing board games (Taboo, Balderdash, and Cranium).
Funny story here. After we finished playing Cranium, mom went to check her email in the lobby and Jordan, Kyla and I were all on a sugar high from all of the fudge that we bought earlier that day in Calabash. So we were standing on the balcony looking down at the ground 10 stories below us and I don't know how we thought of it, but Jordan decided it would be really cool to go down there and have one of us throw a little nerf football thing to him. So...
We tried it.
(If you look really hard, you can see Jordan in this picture, 10 stories below)
and it was so much fun! Yes, we are really just little kids at heart! Okay, so it was waaaay more funny when it was happening than it is sounding right now. What can I say, I don't normally stay up late, I have a 4 month old, I try to sleep where and when I can.

I'll get the rest of the week in another post with more pictures!

Hello Dunn!

Back in August, Jordan called me at work one day to see if I could take a week off to go the beach. He had vacation time that he was going to lose if he didn't use it by October. So we planned a trip for Sept 20-27 to go to Myrtle Beach. We left on Saturday to go to Dunn to stay the night with my friend, Keli, and her family. We got there at about 7 because we had to wait for Jordan to get off work. It was a 2 and 1/2 hour trip and we only had to stop once. Addison did so good in the car, until we were about 15 minutes away and she was HUNGRY!! She wanted out of her seat and was mad!! But as soon as we got there and got her eating and out of her seat, she was fine. We got to eat pizza and catch up with each other and stayed up past midnight.

This is Keli's daughter, Emily, who LOVES Baby Addison! She wanted to feed her and hold her the whole time we were there.

They are such cuties!!
We switched babies for this picture because Emily would NOT sit on her momma's lap. She is a little, um, strong-willed and when she gets something in her head, she will not stop until she gets it! But she was so sweet to us and is such a loving little girl. She will make a great big sister some day!!

Here are the Clines. (I forgot to take Addison's bib off for the picture. We sure do go through a ton of bibs each day. She is like a Hound dog with all of that drool!!) I didn't manage to get a single picture of Keli with her family. So, sorry, Nicholas, I didn't have you in any picture to put on here.

This is Jordan while he was playing with Emily. He had Addison's bumbo seat on his head and Emily's little plastic cups on his eyes. She got a kick out of him doing that. He's already a great Daddy, and I know he'll continue to be great as Addison gets older. I think he really enjoys the toddler stage. Addison is going to be such a Daddy's girl, isn't she?

It was a nice visit, but I wish we could have stayed longer. We will be seeing them again, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Happy 4 Month Birthday, Addison Kate!!

*****NOTE: I started this post on the 17th, which was the day Addison turned 4 months, but life got in the way, and I'm jut now finishing it. I left the post date as the 17th.****

Hi my sweet Baby! This is mommy and I want to wish your sweet little self a wonderful 4 month birthday!! You are such a joy to Daddy and I. We love to spend all the time we can with you. I wish I could keep you little and sweet like this forever! These are a few of the things you are doing now: (Your 4 month stats:)

*You weigh in at 15 lbs, 5 ozs!! That is in the 90th percentile. Your head measurement was also in the 90th percentile, but we knew you inherited Daddy's big head!! You are such a big girl, now!

*Your height is 23 3/4 inches (50th percentile), (but I really think that you are longer than that and you were mis-measured!)

*You absolutely love to chew on your hands, or mommy's hands, or Daddy's hands, or pretty much anything that you can get into your month. It's so cute to watch you study your hand (or whatever you're holding) for a quick moment before you jerk it to you and try to shove the whole thing into your mouth.

*You absolutely refuse to take your paci anymore. You really liked it at 2 months. You would take it most of the time around 3 months, but during your Fourth month, you refuse to take it. I guess that there are good and bad things about that.

*You are wearing size 2 diapers now and mostly still wearing 3-6 months clothes, but can wear larger outfits, depending on the brand.

* You are the best baby ever! You are happy almost all of the time unless you are really hungry or really sleepy. You are easily entertained by laying on on your play mat or sitting in your excersaucer.

* You WILL NOT sit in my lap anymore. You have decided that it is way more fun to STAND. you love to stand and bounce and if you get tired of standing you squat and lean forward in a funny skiing position.

* You love to smile and you will smile at just about anyone who talks to you.

At your four month Well Baby doctor's visit, wait, what's that?

You don't want to get more shots? Don't get upset you don't have to get any more shots until next time! As I was saying, at your doctor's visit, you were just the sweetest little thing! You would smile and coo and laugh at the nurses and Dr. Hunsinger!
And here are the people that love you most in the world:
We love you so much, Baby!! I hope you had a great day!

And By the Way...

I meant to mention in Monday's post that it was my friend, Ashlea's birthday. She is pregnant with her second child and is just looking cuter by the day with her little baby bump! Hop over to her blog and leave her some sweet birthday wishes! Also, if you know her, vote on the baby poll whether you think Baby Speer will be wearing pink or blue??? I love you girl and hope that you had a great birthday!!

P.S. I've updated a few posts with pictures, so go back through and check them out. :)

Wordless Wednesday (Yeah, right!!)

So I'm going to try to catch up on some Addison pictures that I've built up from the past few weeks. Here my feeble attempt at "Wordless Wednesday." I don't plan on it being wordless, but it does have a lot of photos!!
This is just how excited Addison got one afternoon a few weeks ago when I told her we were going for a walk. I think this was about the time she discovered that she can blow bubbles and make raspberries! It kept her entertained. I'm gonna say this was at about 11 weeks old.
I love this little outfit! It was funny how quickly she went from awake and alert here, to....
completely sacked out! Our trip to the Post Office really just wore her out.
This was back in the beginning of August. We had game night with Chuck and LeeAnn and little Salem.
This is how Salem was the whole time we were playing cards/talking. She did great, just stayed awake and looked around and talked and nursed. Addison on the other hand...
...fell asleep in her swing and then just made a night of it. (That swaddle blanket was NOT working so well. There's really only one that still fits her and works well. She wakes up every single night that we use a different blanket. I call it her magic swaddle blanket.) You've probably already noticed that Addison has a habit of sleeping a lot. Jordan and I are very thankful for this habit! it's funny because these pictures show one distinguishing difference bewteen the girls. Addison Sleeps a lot and Salem stays awake a lot. Addison is trying to teach Salem how to sleep better and I think it's starting to work.
Isn't this little face just adorable. She was all dressed up and ready to go spend the day with her Grandee. This was probably taken when she was 13/14 weeks old.
This is Addison and mommy. She was 15 weeks here.
Here's Addison with her Daddy. She doesn't look as happy here as she did with her mommy, does she?? Haha, Just kidding, she looks less than thrilled in both pictures. She is totally in love with her Daddy (and him with her! So cute!)
I think this is my new favorite picture! She is just so adorable in her little fishy onesie/dress. she loves to grab and hold onto toys, like she is here with the rattle. All she does with them is try to eat them, but it's really cute.
She just looks like, "Mom, get that thing out of my face...Can't I just eat some more now?"

This shows 3 generations of Walker women. In the background is Jordan's grandma, Louise, and his mom, Gena, is holding Addison. I think it's such a cute picture, the way that Addison is checking out Gena. I laugh, too, because after I took this, we realized that Addison had pooped all over her and Gena. HAHA! I'm glad I'm not the only one she does that too!

Tenth Avenue North

I don't think I mentioned this earlier, but when we were on our first flight to Reno, we sat next to a famous musician (Famous may be stretching it a little, but his group is famous and comes on the radio all the time). So, Jordan was sitting next to this guy and they were talking about flying and how often they had flown in the recent past and Jason (the guy) says this is his sixth flight this month. So that prompts Jordan to ask why. He replies that he travels for his work. So we pry and ask what he does for a living. He plays music professionally. Okay what type of music? Christian/contemporary. Now, I'm getting excited because that is the type of music I normally listen to and I know a lot of the band names, so I ask what group he's in.

TENTH AVENUE NORTH.

Turns out we sat next to Jason Jamison, the drummer for the group Tenth Avenue North. He is a super nice guy and extremely humble (Obviously from all of the prying we had to do to get it out of him). I told him I love his group (I do) but I went totally blank and couldn't think of a single song that they sing. I felt dumb, but he was very nice about it. And now, thanks to Jordan, I am a proud owner of their first CD "Over and Underneath" and I love every song on it. I can even tell you all the songs that come on the radio by Tenth Avenue North. Jason even took an interest in our little Addison. He was telling us about his daughter and flying with her and how he misses her when he's away. He was a really nice guy and I think the whole group would be the type of people that Jordan and I would be friends with. He ended up giving us a sneak peek (listen?) of one of their new songs coming out later this year. Awesome! Here is a link to one of Jason's posts about their tour. (And, yes, he was wearing the beret on the plane when we met him).

Stretch Marks, Cellulite and Shedding, Oh My!

Okay, so I dedicate this post to new mothers (or old ones, hehe...j/k, we'll say seasoned mothers) out there. I just wanted to say a word about the affects that pregnancy/delivery has on your body. Don't worry, I'm not gonna get all detailed and gross, but here's my list:

1. Cellulite: I can't say that pregnancy was the cause of this one since, well, I had some before I got pregnant. I think that I will feel better if I blame being pregnant, though, so let's just pretend! ;). I will say that it got a lot worse when I was pregnant (36 extra pounds will do that) and then has lingered even after losing all of my baby weight and then some. I hate that it's there, but really, I don't look at my butt in the mirror that often, so I'm not the one who has to look at it (And really, I'm never in a bathing suit unless I'm at the beach and that is not very often either)! haha!!

2. Stretch Marks: I never dreamed I'd get stretch marks. I don't know why, but I really didn't think it would happen to me. Well, it did. I have them all over my hips and thighs and butt and, ahem..up top. They aren't that bad, but I hate them, too! They are at least silver now instead of bright red.

3. (This will be a short one) Hemorrhoids: one word: OUCH!! (I mean really OUCH!)

4. Shedding: I knew that this was a possibility, but I didn't notice myself having super thick hair while being pregnant, so I didn't expect to lose it all postpartum. And now almost 4 months out, my hair is falling out by the hand fulls! It tickles my arms and neck! It probably is made worse by the fact that I am growing my hair out and so it's much monger now than it was when Addison was born.

5. Shifting of Body Parts: I knew this would happen. Although I am about 4 pounds less now than I was prepregnancy(NEVER thought I'd see the day... Breastfeeding rocks!!!), my clothes are fitting all differently. My pants are actually loser on me and all my shirts are too short and too tight. That is an obvious change that's made a bit more lasting by the fact that I am breastfeeding. It surprises me that my bottom half is smaller now. I've given away so many pairs of pants thinking I'd never be back into them, and now I'd be close to them fitting great. I actually am wearing a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear since before Christmas 3 years ago (One of my surprise birthday presents, I wore them when Jordan took me out to dinner that night!!)

6. Digestion changes: Let's just say I miss the regularity that I had before I was pregnant. And taking into account my #3, this is not a good thing.

I can't think of anything else right now, but I'm sure there's more.

I say all of that to now say this: I wouldn't change a single thing!! I have minor annoyances from being pregnant. Some woman have horrible scars, disfigurement, conditions, that they have to live with, some with no baby to show for it. I want you to know that I don't take my blessings lightly. I thank God every day for giving me a beautiful perfect little girl who is growing and thriving. I am thankful for all of my motherhood badges of honor, no matter how annoying they may be to me. I feel extremely blessed when I think of all of the heartaches I have been saved from. God really does take care of us. I try to remember this when I'm tired or in pain or am just having a bad day. There is always someone who has it WAY worse than I do. I have been blessed way beyond words and beyond what I deserve.

Thank you, God, for always taking care of me and my family. Thank you for your grace and your Son who died for us. In His name I pray, Amen.

Sunday - A Shopping Adventure

Sunday was another nice day. It was not one of those lazy Sundays like I enjoy so much, but it was still very fun. When Addison woke up at 7:30, I went and got her and fed her and then she was still so sleepy that I brought her back to bed with me and she slept so good. In fact all three of us slept so good that we didn't wake back up until 10:30. Well, needless to say we didn't make to Sunday School, but did make it to worship and we were only 5 minutes late. Yes, I am Wonder woman. I got myself and a baby church-ready in less than 25 minutes!

After church and lunch (Yummy Japanese with my sister and cousin, both home for the weekend!!) Addison and I met up with LeeAnn and Salem. We all rode up to Winston to the Fair grounds where they were having a Children's consignment sale and Sunday was 50% off day. We got there and both of the girls were sound asleep. It was so cute because they we both sleeping in the same position, with their little heads slumped over to the right. Here's the little sweeties:

Anyways, after we got out of the car with the the babies situated in their stroller or carrier, we headed off to the big Consignment sale... you know, the one that was NOWHERE in sight. There was a Gem Show going on and everyone we asked about how to get to the sale gave us very vague, general "that way" directions to where we needed to be. So we walked around in circles for about 25 minutes and finally, through the glare of the building doors, we saw relief in the form of tiny little clothes hanging on their hangers. We were so hot and tired. I had sweat dripping down my back. It didn't help that I was carrying Addison on my chest in her little Carrier that we have. All the body heat was killing me.

I think that the sale ended up being worth it, because I came out with a little Fisher-Price crib aquarium thing that sings and makes bubbles, 4 footed PJs and 3 long sleeve/long pants rompers (soo cute), 25 new Breast milk storage bags and 3 bibs, all for $21. I was so excited! All of the clothes that I got were almost new looking with no stains! I'll have to take a picture and show it all off. LeeAnn got several little outfits for Miss Salem, including an ADORABLE little pink an white dress with a long sleeved pink onesie. If that dress had been a little bigger, I may would have fought her for it (Just Kidding!) but Addison seems to be growing so quickly that I didn't need another dress for her to be wearing right now.

While we were looking, Salem decided that she needed to eat right then. And of course once Addison heard/saw that Salem was getting her afternoon snack, she wanted hers as well. So we'll add the big consignment kids sale to the list of public places that I've now breastfed my baby. It was back in a corner and there wasn't a lot of traffic, so I didn't feel weird doing it. People probably thought it was a designated corner, since LeeAnn and I both were nursing babies. haha!

After the sale, we decided to hit up Once Upon a Child. LeeAnn had never been and still wanted to find a baby carrier like Addison's and I was on the lookout for a doorway jumper. I really like that store, but, wow, was it crowded! They set out all of the Halloween outfits and there was hardly room to walk around especially with a stroller in tow. I got cloth diapers (for burp clothes, NOT cloth diapering! I'll leave that up to Gena. :) ). It was a brand new package of 12 that sells for $12 at Walmart and I got them for $3.50. It turned out to be a success. I found my doorway jumper and LeeAnn found her baby carrier, both at great prices and with little wear. Yay for consignment sales!!

The evening wrapped up with a small cookout at my in-law's (Jeff and Gena) house. So it was a very fun weekend. I can't wait until we have our next mommy/daughter shopping trip. What fun!

Saturday - Cookouts and More Eating

******UPDATED WITH PICTURES!!*******

Okay, so since I'm going to talk about my day on Saturday, this will count as my Saturday post right? So that means my daily blogging resolve hasn't gone up in flames?!?! Sure, Jenny, tell yourself whatever makes you feel better...

First of all, the enchiladas on Friday turned out really good. I tweaked the recipe quite a bit and was so happy that they turned out so yummy...and a little spicy. On Saturday my dad's side of the family had a cookout for my Grandmas birthday (which is on Tuesday). So Addison and I headed over to "Frank's Place" (A little house that my aunt and uncle own and have parties at all the time. Apparently the former owner of the house was named Frank.) without Jordan since he had to work. We got there and had yummy hot dogs, hamburgers, chili and all kind of desserts. And my Grandma thoroughly enjoyed it. Addison was having one of those days where if she did sleep/nap any it was for about 30 to 45 minutes before she would wake back up. So was pretty upset when we got back home around 4:30 and she had a bath and then cried for 45 minutes before finally going to sleep in the car.

This was right before I loaded her up to leave. I had just changed her into this adorable little outfit and of course the first thing she did was spit up all over it. oh well, it wasn't a stinky one at least!

We left as soon as Jordan got home from work to go to our friends Chasity and Andy's house for dinner. Chas is my friend from high school where she and I were BFFs! They have a beautiful little girl, Ziza, who will be 2 in November.

Ziza was just a little bit excited to "hold" Addison (more like get squshed by Addison, haha).

These pictures cracks me up because Addison looks like she is about as big as Ziza. Ziza, WHO WILL BE 2 IN NOVEMBER. My 4 month old is nearly as big as her 22 month old friend!! Wow, Such a big girl!!

Ziza Faith is such a cutie pie!!

SHe was being such a little ham. ADORABLE!!

She is soo adorable and loved meeting "Baby Addie". We had a great visit with them and enjoyed chatting about our girls and having babies (Chas is due March 28th with baby #2) and friends and just life in general.

This is as we were changing her into her pajamas. She enjoys her "naked baby" time!! Such cute little rolls!!
Chasity is so cute with her little baby bump, which is just starting to poke out at 12 weeks pregnant. Addison was such a doll baby and did so good while we were there. She sacked out on the way home at about 9:30 and barely woke up when we took her out of her car seat to nurse and go to bed. Such a sweet little sleepy girl!

Morning Hugs and Enchiladas

Wow, I nearly forgot about my goal of daily blogging. That would have been short lived. I'm sure it will be anyway. Today's been a good day. Jordan and I had both gotten showers this morning and were getting ready when Addison decided that it was time for her to get up. We looked at each other and then raced into her room to see who would get to her first and receive her first great big grin of the day. We got there at the same time and she looked up at us like, "Wow, y'all are such dorks." But then she smiled (I think it was at me but I'm sure Jordan will say it was at him). I just love getting her first thing in the morning when she is still so sleepy and she stretches real big and yawns. She is such a happy baby, pretty much all of the time. I think she's going to be more of a morning person than a night person, because the only time she is really fussy is when she is tired.

Tonight mom and dad and my sister Kyla are coming over for dinner and I am making enchiladas. I have never attempted to make these and I really hope they turn out to be good. If not, I guess we'll go and pull some chicken out of the freezer and grill out. We have a small deep freezer and thanks to our trip to Sam's Club a few weeks ago, it is nearly full of chicken (that and frozen breast milk, which Addison very much enjoys!). Chicken breasts, chicken tenderloins, chicken thighs. We're all set on chicken for a while. And we've been eating a lot of red meat lately because Jordan's parents had a cow butchered recently and we have been enjoying the...um...benefits?

So I have decided that I am sooo thankful that my husband is not into football (or really any sports). He went out to eat with some guy friends of his last night and they were watching the game (I say that like I know what game they were watching...yeah right) and he said he just kind of sat there because they talked sports the whole time. I think it's funny, but after listening to my friends talk about their husbands and all the ESPN packages they need and the obsessions with fantasy football (or baseball or golf or basketball...who knew that there is a fantasy league in everything??), I am sooo glad that Jordan isn't the least bit interested. :)

Oh, and I have to give a shout out to my friend LeeAnn, who is now back in her pre-pregnancy clothes only 3 months postpartum!! Go LeeAnn! You look great!!

Also, I'd like to request that everyone pray for our nation today and take the time to remember our fellow Americans that were killed 8 years ago. I hate to think that after such a short amount of time, people are already forgetting. We need to pay respect to those who are still fighting that battle today. Even my Addison got a little patriotic with her red, white and blue dress (which is ADORABLE!!). Jordan made fun of my blue shirt/white jacket/gray pants/and red shoes, but I think it was very appropriate! I Heart America!

Hope every one has a good weekend. This will be the true test of my daily blogging resolve. We shall see...

a new thing

So I've decided I'm going to try to blog once a day. I know that I will never be able to keep this up (for many reasons, some being that my life is way too boring to have anything substantial to blog about and also I tend to lack motivation). My goal is to do this for at least a week and see where it goes. So, we'll see.

I think that I should start making a meal schedule. There are several recipes that I've printed out (mostly some off of Kelly's Korner Recipe Blog: http://kellyskornerrecipes.blogspot.com/) that I want to try. I also have built up a (very) small archive of things that I've made in the past and turned out to be quite tasty. The problem comes in play when I take into account that I have a baby that consumes all of time between 6 when I get home from work and 8:30/9 when she goes to sleep (and I wouldn't have it any other way, unless I got even more time with my precious little baby. Who cares if the laundry doesn't get done and there is dog hair all over the floors because they haven't been swept in who knows when?? I don't! Not if I have my sweetie pie in my arms.), my husband has a different schedule every day and I don't always know when he'll be home and we are pretty spontaneous people who have a hard time planning small things in advance, such as what to eat for dinner. (I think that was the longest sentence ever :)!!) Maybe I'll try it.

Just not now. I'm starting enough new things right now (or just one...the daily blogging will probably kill me, or at least make me brain dead).

I have another goal that I am determined to reach and that is to stay in the office for lunch at least 4 out of 5 days. I used to eat out with one of my co-workers almost every day (especially when I could use pregnancy as my excuse...). But now that I'm pumping on my lunch break, I have to go to lunch at a different time than anyone else in the office and I only have 40 minutes of time that isn't consumed by pumping. I did really good when I first came back to work after my maternity leave, but now I've been eating out all the time. I've got to get back into bringing my lunch!!

I guess that's all for now. Hopefully I'll find more interesting topics for my daily blogs. I know no one really cares about if I'm meal planning or not... I'm totally not. :)

Ah, the sweet sound of laughter

I am so excited about what I am about to say. We had such a good long Labor Day weekend. We got spend time with family and friends and just hang out around the house. Good times! On Friday, my friend LeeAnn called to see if we would like to come over for dinner, so we had dinner with her and Chuck and their baby girl (and Addison's (future) BFF), Salem. We had yummy baked spaghetti and played Rook, a game in which the girls did some serious whipping up on the boys! We also went for a walk and just talked in the living room. Jordan was holding Salem and LeeAnn had my Addison while we were sitting around. Here's the good part: LeeAnn was holding Addison so that she was facing me and I was talking to her and smiling and tickling her and she was soo happy and sweet and all of a sudden came out this beautiful little giggle. That was the first real time that she had laughed and it was such a special moment (Earlier in the week, she almost laughed at Macy and Tripp playing with each other, but she couldn't quite get it out as anything more than a grunt/squeal). Given that Jordan was the first recipient of the Addison smile, I love the fact that she laughed at me first. She was really into it. she would lean forward and I would come in toward her and she would lean back and throw her little head back and laugh. It just melted my heart. I love that little baby so much that sometimes I think my heart might just burst.

On Saturday we went to Bethabara Park in Winston with Chuck, LeeAnn and Salem. We had a nice picnic lunch and then played Bocce Ball in the shade, while the girls slept in their strollers. That night we went back to the Cline residence and watched Push (slightly strange movie, but pretty good). Addison passed out at 8 and slept for 11 straight hours. She, apparently, had a great time at the park. It wore her plum out. For some pictures and retelling of the weekend "adventure" go to LeeAnn's blog post.

Sunday was a sleepy day. Jordan had to work, so Addison and I went to church and to a fellowship meal at my parents church and stayed for signing service afterward. Then we went home and I think we took naps (I don't really remember). When Jordan got home, we all went and visited Jordan's uncle Greg who is in the hospital battling lung cancer (please pray for him, it's not looking too good right now...) and we ate at one of the best places ever...COOKOUT!!! Yum! The we went home and watched The Sound of Music while my beautiful girl slept on my chest. I could have stayed that way forever.

Monday Jordan and I (and of course Little Miss Pris) went to Home Depot and attempted to go to Chick-fil-a and get a free sandwich but when we saw the line wrapped completely around the building and out of the parking lot, we decided it would be well worth the extra money to go to a different place for lunch. Addison was just a doll and did so go the whole time (really she does good most all the time. She's an easy baby most of the time, just so sweet and huggable and adorable) We watched 17 Again with Matthew Perry and Zach Efron. It was a cute little movie. So all and all it was a great weekend. But anytime I get to spend with my girl is a great time!!
