I'm still here!

Wow, I have been so slack about writing any posts lately! I know, it's been a long time (My Grandaddy subtly told my cousin Zach to tell me I hadn't posted anything since March 17th! :) Hint taken, Grandaddy! Love you!) So here goes:

Things have been so hectic! We moved into our new house last week and everything is such a mess! I don't know where anything is and I feel completely and utterly unorganized! We've finally gotten everything moved over to the new house, but mostly it's in bins in the garage. We've also painted the kitchen (light green), Addison's room (formerly the office. There's no closet, so we are looking for a good deal on a white armoire, if you know of any for sale??) (light green a little more yellow than the kitchen, super cute!), the bookshelves in the living room (silvery blue, so much better than that awful orangey red that was there before), and the dinning room is almost finished. It's painted a mid-tone gray/blue color in a very flat finish and we are going to paint 5 inch vertical stripes in high gloss finish in the same color. I can't wait until it's done! We've gotten new rugs for the living rooms and dinning rooms and I love them. So things are coming along, but it's still a huge mess!

I think one of the coolest moments we've had with our new house so far was on Tuesday night. I had taken the day off to work on moving and Mom kept Addison for us. When she dropped her off for us that evening we were ready for supper. It was such a pretty day we decided to put Addison in her stroller and walk to dinner. That's right. We walked to dinner. I have never lived close enough to walk to any restaurant or public establishment of any sort. It's about a half mile from the square in down-town Mocksville. It was so cool to know how close we are to so many different things in town (Not that many things since, come on, it is only Mocksville :) ).

Addison has been such a good little girl throughout the whole moving experience. She is still such a happy baby and is pretty good at keeping herself kind of occupied in her walker. Sweetie sweet girl! She's been kind of sick the past few days, with a runny nose and slight, low-grade fever and one croupy eye. But she is still so sweet! She fell asleep on my chest for both her naps and bedtime yesterday, which she never does. She normally will not be still enough in my arms to settle herself down and go on the sleep no matter how sleepy she is. I ate it up! Loved every second of her sweet little head resting on my shoulder and the sweet smell of her hair and the sounds of her little breathes! I couldn't love her more!

I'll try to post more later! I'm just in a bloggy slump, but I'll try to find time to blog more. We'll see...
