Happy Anniversary!

I cannot believe that we have been married for five years today! I can remember everything so clearly from our wedding like it was yesterday. I remember going to get my hair done up, fixing myself a grilled cheese sandwich and then not eating more than a few bites, getting ready at the chapel, five minutes after putting my dress on and getting all 20 of the buttons clasped having to pee and take the dress back off, cramming fries in my mouth 30 minuted before the wedding because I was so hungry,

waiting in front of the closed double doors with my arm hooked through my dad's while the last bridesmaid walked down the aisle, seeing Jordan when the doors opened, cutting the cake and NOT shoving it in each other's faces, I could go on and on. It was such a good day, but I also remember being so exhausted! Here are some more pictures of that wonderful day:

These are some of my favorite pics from my bridal portraits.

We were so young!

My sister looked so good! I still love my bridesmaid dresses!

Mr and Mrs Jordan Cline!

Leaving for our Honeymoon to Charleston! I loved my going away outfit! I felt so cute!

Not only is today our Wedding Anniversary, but it is also our eight year dating anniversary and the anniversary of when we got engaged six years ago! December 30th has been a special day for us for a long time. This year Jordan took me on a shopping spree at the outlet stores in Blowing Rock. We both took the day off work and spent the whole day together. We ate lunch at the Daniel Boone Inn Restaurant. It was a great day and I hope we get to spend many, many more anniversaries together!

This was on our one year anniversary. We still look so young!!

This was a few months before our two year anniversary. We were on a cruise in the Bahamas/Key West.

This was in between our three and four year anniversary. We were in the middle of building our house (as you can see in the background). I remember this summer as being such a fun summer! We were definitely at a high point in our relationship!

Jordan: I love you so much! I never thought that having a baby would bring us closer together, but I think it definitely has. I see you interact with Addison and I can see how much you love her and how much she loves you, and my heart just wants to burst with love and happiness. You are such an amazing husband and father. Thank you so much for being so wonderful and for everything that you do for Addison and I. It's been an amazing five (eight) years with you and I hope that we'll have at least another fifty years together! I love you Baby!

All She Wants for Christmas is Her Very First Tooth...

Merry Christmas from the Cline Family!
Here are our stockings lined up on my Mom's mantle. My Aunt is still working on making Addison's stocking, so my mom bought one and personalized it for her.

Here is Addison trying to drink my dad's drink. If you listen really close you can hear what Santa brought her for Christmas. Did you hear the "tink, tink, tink" as she bites down on the glass? That's right, Miss Addison Kate got her very first tooth for Christmas. This was actually from Christmas Eve, but you couldn't see the tooth until Christmas Day, so I still say Santa brought it. I am so excited that it was on Christmas, because I will always be able to remember when she got her first tooth and how old she was without having to reference her baby book (or rather, my blog :))

Here is Addison being mesmerized by her Christmas present from Grandee and Grandpa. It's a tree with a spiral slide where little animals spin around down the tree and make noise. She was just watching them and you can see her little head following them as they slide down. So cute!

We had such a great Christmas. I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked to, but I was busy experiencing Christmas with Addison, so there's no way I could have been the photographer as well. Kyla took some photos that I don't have yet, so I'm sure she got some goods ones. I'll post them when I get them. Addison got all kinds of toys, stuffed animals and books. She has done so wonderfully the whole weekend, especially considering the teething.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! We sure did!!

Snowy Winter Wonderland

Around lunch time on Friday, it started snowing. You could feel the anticipation in the air as all of the adults channeled their inner child and talked of the coming snow with the giddy excitement of a kindergartner. The weather channel was calling for 8-10 inches overnight which is a huge deal around here. We just don't get that amount of snow very often, especially in December. So I woke up to a sweet little voice calling out to me and I went in her room to find her like this. Addison had wiggled her hands and arms out of the top of the swaddle blanket and then pulled her crocheted blanket up to her face and got her fingers tangled up in the thread. Plus Little Miss had turned almost completely sideways in the crib. She is such a mess. She just laid there and kicked her feet up and slammed them back down on the mattress. She has done this so hard in the past it knocked the camera part of her monitor off the corner of the crib. Little Stinker! I think she knew there was something to be excited about outside.
Here's our house from the road. So pretty. I love fresh snow! (as opposed to nasty dirty slow left over from when it snowed a week ago and was shoveled out of the road and left in huge mountains on the sides of the road.

This was the view up our driveway from the garage. Jordan had left his car parked on the main drive, so that we could get it out easily.

It ended up not being quite as easy as planned. We got the car all stuck in the yard. It just kept slipping further and further off of the driveway...
and the tires just kept spinning and spinning. We ended up leaving this car here and after about 10 tries, we finally got my car out of the garage and driveway.

It was so pretty as we drove down the road. We were heading to my family's Christmas party and the beautiful snow really put me in the Christmas spirit.
Another beautiful view of the snow. The roads were just slushy and not too bad.

This was by far my favorite view. Addison was all comfy (probably burning up) in her snow suit. She is just so adorable.

McDaniel Christmas Party

On Saturday we ventured out into the white winter wonderland to go to my family's Christmas party. This is for my Dad's side of the family. It's a huge bunch of people and we always have a big party at my cousins log cabin house every year. I think Addison makes the total fifty now (including Grandpa, who died in 2007). We used to do a theme every year. A few years in a row we did pajama party and two years ago we did cowboy/western.My grandparents have 5 kids. My dad is the oldest. This is from 2007 when we did a cowboy theme. It's my dad, his brothers and sisters and my Grandma (in the middle).
This is the eleven grand kids. Ten girls, one boy. I'm the baby.

(I love this picture of him! I didn't have it on my computer, so I had to take a picture of the picture. That is why the flash shows up the way it does. I couldn't get a great one in focus with out the flash.) All of us grand kids wanted to honor my Grandpa by wearing overalls. He always wore his overalls and we loved him for it!

This is my Grandma with the eleven grand kids and then 15 great-grands. Now there are 17 great-grands. This only shows 13, since 4 didn't make it due to the snow. You may notice that the girls still outnumber the boys in the next generation. There are only 4 boys out of the 17. Don't ask how or why. I don't know what's up with the girls, but I'll take 'em.

Here's Grandma with the girls (that were there). Oh, and "Baby Addison" is in this picture twice. She's up in the back beside of Grandma and also in the front in plastic form. My little cousin Emilee named her baby doll Baby Addison, after my precious baby doll.

Isn't she just adorable??

This is my cousin's oldest son, Jackson. He is such a good kid and super smart. He is also enamored with Addison. He passes notes down the pew to us in church that say things like, "Send Addie Kate to me. She needs me to hold her." All of the great-grand kids drew names for getting Christmas presents and Addison got Jackson's name. So we got him a set of books that he wanted. He was excited. The boy loves to read.
Here's Kyla wearing Addison's headband. She looks like a flapper from the 1920s. :)
I like the headband better than the elf ears. haha. She sure does love being Auntie Kyla to my Addison.
This is my cousin Greg. He is moving home from Raleigh and is starting a job at Wachovia in January. We are becoming a family of bankers. haha.
He is so great with the kids. All of them love him to pieces. He has about 10 little girl friends. Here he is with Mia Claire and Jordan with Addison. This was Addison opening her first Christmas present. She was in awe of the wrapping paper.

Then all she wanted to do was eat everything. She got a big stuffed mouse and this adorable book. We love it!! We all had such a good time! I'll put some more group pictures up when I get them from my Aunt Viv.

Sick of being sick!

So I haven't posted in a while but I promise I have a good excuse! About two weeks ago I started feeling pretty snotty and ended up sick with a sinus infection. I went to the Doctor and got antibiotics which I preceded to take for the next 4 days. On the forth day I woke up feeling really sick to my stomach. By lunch time I was feeling really bad and by 3:00 I had thrown up in the break room at work. This worried me significantly. Here's why:

(phone conversation with Jordan)
me: I just threw up
Jordan: Oh. Okay.
me: I can't remember the last time that I threw up and I wasn't pregnant. I'm hoping this was it.
Jordan: (after long pause) What are you saying?
me: I don't know. I don't think I'm pregnant but I never throw up. Unless I'm pregnant.
(this was pretty much the end of that conversation.)

(30 minutes later)
Jordan: Go buy a pregnancy test, and take it now.
me: I'm at work!
Jordan: So leave and take a test now.
me: I'll get one when I get off. Chill!
Jordan: Fine. Call me when you take one.

I ended up leaving work early (not because I was anxious about being pregnant, but because I felt some more vomiting coming on) and I made Jordan buy a pregnancy test at Walmart and bring it to me in the parking lot because I didn't feel like walking. or moving. or living. I felt pretty horrible at the moment. I took the test when I got home and could just see the positive mark coming up. I continued to stare at the empty circle for the next ten minutes.

Nothing.

The control line showed up so I figured that meant it worked, but neither one horizontal line for negative or one cross mark for positive showed up. So I made my way back to the floor of my room where I had thrown the box on my way to the toilet to read the instructions. Yes, I know, I should have read them first but I was too impatient, and Hello? I've done this before! Box says something like this...pee on the stick...control line in one box...empty circle for negative...one vertical line for positive. (Equate has changed their pregnancy tests, just so you know.) Ahhh, so the test was negative.

I texted (the blogger spell-checker is telling me that texted is not a word) Jordan because I was still feeling horrible and felt like I shouldn't open my mouth to talk or I would...well, you know. I ended up vomiting all night until about 3 AM. I have never felt that sick from the stomach bug. I continued to feel extremely nauseous for the next 3 or 4 days (to which every one's remark was "Are you sure you aren't pregnant?"). When I thought I could be pregnant I was more freaked about the fact that I would being feeling that horrible for the next 3 months than I was about the fact that I would have another baby in 9 months. I'm just finally starting to feel better and become friends with food again. I have hardly eaten anything which is COMPLETELY unlike me. I lost 5 pounds in 3 days. Not how I would recommend losing weight to anyone (although it puts me 3 pounds away from the weight I was when I got married 5 years ago. I'm 12/13 pounds down from my pre-pregnancy weight!)

Anyway, I'm NOT pregnant and I am feeling better! Next time I take a blogging break, I really hope it's for a different reason!

Addison is SEVEN months old!

I'm a few days late getting this up, but here it is.

Addison, you are seven months old!! I can't believe how big you are now and many new things you are doing. You are into everything now!

*You weigh about 18 lbs. You are wearing a 2/3 or 3 diaper and 6-9 months size in clothes.

*You have started to reach out for us to pick you up and it melts mine and your daddy's hearts! You love your momma and Daddy so much! Whenever we come into the room, you look around until you've found us and then just grin really big!

*You are such a sweetheart and a social butterfly! You love to watch new people and interact with them by smiling, cooing, or jibber-jabbering to them. I hope you continue to go to new people and be outgoing like Daddy. But if you are shy like Mommy was then it's okay, too.

*You are definitely in full-fledged teething mode. You constantly have something in your mouth and you love to chomp down on things. you get slightly fussy because your little gums are sore, but you are easily soothed.

*You will not sit still. You would be in constant motion if only you could crawl. You put worth a very valiant effort to crawl, but your little body just isn't cooperating with you yet. While you are sitting, you lunge for things (which makes me crazy because it typically knocks you off balance and you end up toppling over, sometimes hitting your little head).

*You like to eat your baby food almost as much as you like to blow bubbles in it and make it splatter everywhere. I think sweet potatoes are your favorite, although you will eat most any of it. Bananas and peas are your least favorite. You'll scrunch up your nose and shake your head with those.

*You nod your head at things with such enthusiasm, it makes us think you know what we are saying. It's the cutest thing to watch you nod your little head.

*You like it when we sing to you and make you dance along. If we stop making you dance, you do it by yourself and wobble around.

*You are the most adorable little thing in the world! Your Daddy and I love you so much more than we could have ever imagined! When I think I couldn't love you any more, I wake up the next day and I do! You are just precious!

Here's a video of you playing with your tongue. So CUTE!!

Christmas Preview

Here are some pictures of Addison in my very favorite outfit ever! I just love it!
She kept trying to eat the bow on the tree on her onesie.
SHe would NOT smile at me. She was in a good mood (considering it was 8:00 and she was getting sleepy!) but she wouldn't smile! We will do another photo shoot before my family Christmas party on Saturday to get some more pictures of my Addie Kate!

I was so nervous about her leaning too far forward and falling off of the chair, but she did great!

She was really thinking about getting her hands on the tree. She kept trying to twist around and get it. This little cutie is into EVERYTHING!! I can't even imagine how hard it will be to keep her out of things once she starts crawling.
Addison was also watching the dogs (No, we haven't gotten rid of them, and I think we are going to keep them for now. Addison really loves them.) Here she is looking at Tripp, who was on the floor.

Here she's watching Macy on the back of the couch.

I love that little face!!
She wanted to eat her socks, but they were connected to her tights, so she just grabbed at them.
This is when she discovered that there was something on her head. This pretty much ended the photo shoot.

She would not keep that huge bow on her head after she found it. SHe decided it was way cooler to eat it instead of wearing it. Then she got mad when I tried to put it back on her head. This meant it was time for bed.

I ADORE her! She is the most precious baby girl in the world! I cannot imagine loving any thing more! I can't believe that My Addison is almost seven months old! Time flies when you have a baby!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

Jordan finally bought a Christmas Tree yesterday!! We have said for the past two weekends that we were going to get one but its been so rainy and muddy and we've had things come up so we hadn't made it to the lots yet. I was so excited to get home and see this BEAUTIFUL tree sitting in our living room last night! I love having a live tree. It's the perfect size and has a great shape to it. It smells so wonderful, too!! So we spent the evening watching The Biggest Loser finale (Wow, those people got skinny!!!) and decorating the tree. I normally hate decorating the tree and feel kind of like Scrooge, but this year I was quite giddy! I don;t know why, but I am so excited about Christmas this year (Most likely because it's Addison's first Christmas).

The tree looks so pretty!! Its got red and lime green balls, silver and champagne colored balls, and glitter and pearly white balls. Its also got some red and champagne sparkly bows and a ton of white lights.

I love the tree topper that we've put on it. It a star, but not a tacky one. It looks like it's an antique from the 1920s. It's silver, but looks kind of tarnished, so its not bright and shiny metal. Inside the metal it a hard plastic that looks like rice paper, so I stuck some lights up in the five points and it glows now. I am so excited about it!!

Addison was already in her crib asleep, so she didn't get to see the tree yet, but I'm interested to how she likes it. We were at some friends house on Monday and Addison was definitely liking their tree. Anytime I was holding her near it she looked at it in awe and tried to grab and pull on the branches. So cute! I imagine this year won't be as hard to keep her away from the tree as it will be next year. I have thought that the tree might just be the motivation she needs to start crawling. She is on the brink of it, moving and twisting as best she can, but she isn't quite there yet. We'll see how the holiday season unfolds. Is 7 months a normal crawling age?

I hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas and looking forward to it as much as I am!! Happy decorating!!
