We took Addison to the Ear Nose and Throat Doctor this morning. I mentioned in another blog post that I was concerned about the thing that connects your upper lip to your gum being too big and today we had it checked out. She was so good the whole time. I felt kind of dumb sitting in the waiting room of a specialist office with a perfectly healthy child, but I just wanted to make sure that there was nothing to worry about. I know it seems trivial to those with much bigger issues at hand, but I wanted to go ahead and take care of any problems while the solution is still a simple five minute procedure.
The doctor was very nice, and very young. He couldn't have been a whole lot older than Jordan and I but was very knowledgeable and personable. He told us that everything looked fine to him, but to keep an eye on it because things could change as her teeth come in or her bones shift and grow. I'm glad we didn't have to do any "clipping". I think it would have been very hard on me and I'm certain that Jordan would not have been able to handle it.
As we were walking out, the Doctor was talking to us and and Addison was watching him and chewing on her toy when he just stopped mid-sentence and just smiled at her. He said that she definitely won the "Gerber baby" award and that her face should be on the packaging of all baby products. There she goes winning over the hearts of nurses and doctors in their offices again! Sweet sweet sweet baby girl! I couldn't be more in love. :)
